I don't think that gets off the ground as is, because it fits NEITHER team's basic need to avoid a deal-killer: ATL needs to end under the tax line, and DAL needs to have a trade of equal bodies (such as 2-for-2, 3-for-3).
ATL has about 1.3M too much in salary after that trade. And ATL has already sent our MORE bodies than the Mavs can absorb.
In general, I thinking adding Naji would be a mistake, because he provides some offense creation which they need, and he also offers some defense. And he plays hard, in a going-nowhere season.
But going with it for now: to fix those issues, how about this tweak?
