I really liked the Discord trade with Charlotte for multiple reasons.
1. We get our 2027 pick back, since the draft is perceived weak it´s easier to trade for Charlotte.
2. Most of the players expire after next season.
3. Charlotte can also sit AD out and tank out this year.
4. Unlike Mavs the Hornets never win anything and they actually have a functioning young core that could make a leap with AD at C.
5. MJ might slap AD and this one actually deserves it.
AD + Exum for Williams + Green + Sexton + Mavs 2027 1st.
Klay + Hardy for Kuminga
Gafford for Kennard + Cavs pick
Marshall + DAR for Conley + Beringer
New Mavs team for next year
Irving/Sexton (re-sign MLE-ish)/Nembhard
Christie/Green/FA (minimum)
Flagg/Kuminga/Martin
Washington/Williams/Mavs pick
Lively/Beringer/Cavs pick
That´s actually a crazy turnaround and I think it´s all fairly realistic. Suddenly Kyrie and Martin are the only players over 28.
This might still be a lotto team, but since you got your pick back you can just play it out.
