You had the Jazz play at OKC yesterday and lost in OT.  They literally got home at 4 AM this morning.  And yet they score 35 points in the 1st quarter against the Mavs.

To me, that's bad coaching.

What makes you think the Mavs are prioritizing wins?  Cooper clearly doesn’t lose confidence overall when he struggles at the point.  Playing point in high leverage situations will probably help him in the long run. I’m okay with it at this point.
