UPDATE: League sources tell @TheSteinLine that the Hawks have interest in the Wizards’ Corey Kispert and — if a Trae Young-to-Washington trade materializes — Atlanta hopes to have Kispert in the deal.

The specific draft compensation that would be added to the trade construction is not yet known, but it’s increasingly believed CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert would be the primary outgoing Wizards if a Trae Young-to-Washington deal reaches completion.

The Wizards have now made Corey Kispert (left hamstring injury management) unavailable for tonight’s game at Philadelphia. CJ McCollum was ruled out earlier today.

Kispert is their replacement for Kennard when they send him to us.  Atlanta would have a massive amount of expiring going into the offseason if they do this trade.  Seems very likely the intent is to absorb AD into a lot of it.
