I wasn’t sure at first if he’d be a 1 or a 2, but he’s a 1. Next question: what’s the ideal archetype Robin to pair with him? AD and Flagg work well but are not on the same timeline, and AD’s contract extension demands will force him out of Dallas sooner rather than later. So, who’s the 2? Not who exactly, but what type of player? To be realistic, I’m not talking about pairing him with a generational superstar, just a mere all star. I’d favor someone like a Ja(y)len — a high intensity, physical small forward/guard who plays great defense and can carry a significant scoring load.
Jaylen Brown is averaging 29/6/5 with elite defense and above average shooting in just 33MPG. I think I´m fine if that is our #2.
He´s easily a top 10 player in the league this year. We just never saw how good he is, cause he´s always been on a very good team.
Similar to MPJ going bonkers in Brooklyn. Though the biggest surprise is probably that he´s stayed healthy so far.
As fas what we need next to Flagg. He´s easy to build around. As long as the other guy can shoot, I don´t even think it matters whether it´s a guard or a forward.
