Good discussion about whether to trade AD or not — or rather, when to trade him.
I understand the point about letting him increase his value, but I completely disagree.
Why?
I know this is subjective and not rational but purely emotional — I just want this nightmare to end. Every time AD hits the floor or takes contact, my heart stops and I’m afraid that this time he might really be done. Even if he stays relatively healthy (which is a big if given his history), I can’t keep going through this. Imagine he actually suffers a serious injury and his career ends the way DeMarcus Cousins’ did. Then his value would be really low. And unfortunately, that’s not the most unlikely scenario.
So I’d pass. Give me a decent role player and 2–3 draft picks and call it a day.
