So they didn't really aggregate - they wrote something that was not said. The original basically said all the things we surmise here - Mavs will be looking for a suitable AD deal, but it may or may not happen during the season, and they (and he) need for him to be playing at his peak between now and then.
It also bears mentioning that the writer of this at DHJ is their fake-trade article writer, and typically weaves lots of weak poorly-supported assumptions into his articles, so I am hesitant to take his undefined "sources" as anyone who has a real clue of what's happening.
