The timeline should not be an issue. Cuban did not lose his seat at the table until the summer of 2024.
So prior to that date, Cuban was signing off on whatever happened. This event did precede that date.
As for whether his role was "tangible," that's a matter of definition. But "tangible" is an imprecise word, so Stein's statement can be saying Cuban was in the middle of all that happened in that deal, or merely supervising, or just approving the finished product.
Was it Cuban or was it Lindsey? I think there is a reason Cuban wants Lindsey back as GM.
