MacMahon: Mavs to explore trade market for Davis, „plotting to pivot to the future“

I think Lindsey is a very doable deal (no need for luck) if they choose to go that direction.

To the comments of others, he would not be a Cuban-controlled choice at all (some of us have been mentioning him since the spring, long before Cuban was said to be in favor of him). Lindsey has actually done the job before, and done it well (in Utah). He was squeezed out of Utah when the team was sold and the new owner wanted Ainge in charge. (They have been WAY worse with Ainge, for the record, and this year which is year 5 looks like it will be awful again as well.)

While I would be okay with Lindsey (I think he is skilled and will maximize the assets, and they do have lots of them to work woth), I still much prefer Presti. In any event, no moves until Lindsey-or-better gets here (to make sure we don't get screwed on the deal -- which I don't trust Cuban's oversight on that front at all, even though he's worlds better than Nico).
