Again, this feels like forcing things on folks, rather than solving anything.
Let folks have their own space for negative thoughts, and direct it elsewhere rather than allowing it to spread elsewhere. 
There is middle ground between forcing things and allowing negativity to takeover the entire board. 

But it feels that you have already made your decision about it.

I am not the "decider" of anything. The 5 pm's I get per day about how negative this place has become are. I'm not "forcing" anything on anyone. The morons who don't know how to write and don't have anything compelling to say with the words they do know are forcing this place to feel like a chore to visit. 

You seem to be experiencing a throwaway comment, meant as a warning to some very specific people, in a personal way. I find that regrettable, but at this point I've made it more than clear it wasn't meant the way you're taking it.
