The Mavs failure was not building a relationship with Luka to demand he take his body seriously like he is now. They let him do whatever he wanted and never confronted him and engaged him in a way that was effective. Massive massive failure.
There was a way to do it and they couldn’t figure it out. I do not think Luka could only be motivated by being humiliated in a trade. There had to be a way.
