Hardy however missed 2 pointers badly, going 1 of 5 on 2 pointers, hence my advice he should stick to 3's. Possibly his performance on 2 point shots will improve but he did shoot 37.5% on his 3's.

Just as Klay and D Lo have some rust to shake off I can see Hardy improving as the season gets going but the 10 to 12 players now ahead of him in the pecking order will limit his opportunity to shine.

Cooper, AD, Dlo, Lively, and Klay is one of several starting lineups we will get to see used.

PJ and Gafford will both start a lot of games and provide great options

Max Naji and Bwill should fill in behind the top 7 unless DSJ takes it to the next level to become our 3rd PG behind Irving and  then Exum Martin and Hardy

I know I’ve said it a lot the past 2-3 years, but Hardy is not an NBA-level player. The THJ-lite nickname I gave him his probably being generous. Nico missed on that one in the draft and doubled down with a bad contract.

I thought PJ was clearly one of the best 5 yesterday. Right now, today, he’s better than Flagg.

I also thought Max was and is better than Klay.

AD looked slower than I remember him being. Maybe he wasn’t giving 100% because it’s preseason, but he’ll need to show more if he’s going to play 95% of his minutes at the 4.

I think this board, Mavs X, and other outlets don’t appreciate and understand just how good DLO will be for this team. Especially with no Kyrie.

I will reiterate that the closing 5 couldn’t be more obvious without Kai… DLO-Max-Flagg-PJ-AD.
