I see it in a very similar way.
The thing is, we never really know who's available. Other than maybe Coby White, I'm not sure who was out there this summer that was worth talking about, and waiting might get them a shot at someone better, who knows? Meanwhile, it's not like Gafford won't play or help. He'll get used, and pretty heavily at points I'm sure.
