Yes. Space is what matters. Now, if you have bigs that also create space, you’re golden. Unfortunately, the Mavs bigs are reundant in that they all operate midrange in. That’s a valuable player, but you only want one playing at a time. Maybe AD will finally develop that 3 point shot or the Mavs will make a trade for a stretch big. Otherwise, combined with one of the worst backcourts in the NBA for at least 60% of the season, there’s nothing Flagg can do to save them. I’d prefer a reboot.
