It’s just hard when a player believes he’s worth more than the market does.
No team wants to trade for him, because he’s just a rental at that point, and unlikely to re-up at a number they like.
GSW certainly doesn’t want to pay him what he wants. In fact, he might be worth even less to them than he is another team that might have greater needs or use him differently. But at the same time, he’s got some value, and they don’t want to lose him for nothing.
How much is his qualifying offer?
