1 The thing about Horford and the MLE is that GS is very unlikely to be offering the full big MLE. They would not be required to do so. And last season Horford only made 9.5M. I would expect that GS's offer is the same or less.
2 About Kuminga, if he is signing with GS, GS has no MLE to offer Horford unless it's TxMLE (5.7M).
3 It's possible that GS is angling for "Horford + something" incoming, with Kuminga outgoing, in a SNT. In such a scenario, that retains TxMLE for GS to use elsewhere. Or maybe it's "something different" incoming that is small enough salary to leave GS room for TxMLE for Horford.
4 If I'm a team on the other end, am I unable to get Kuminga without a trade? Almost no one has cap room left, and it's a tricky equation for both GS and Kuminga suitors alike as to what fits and how to make the best deal.
