I'm a little surprised you are such a fan.  He has some skill but he also has a fair amount of bonehead in him.  I'm curious how its going to play out between him and Kidd.  If he does revert back to two years ago, they will not be able to hold onto him.

I don't have the same aversion to "bonehead" (or at least what we fans assume is bonehead) as some. I actually liked THJ's game, remember? I think Russell is like THJ, only he can handle the ball, too. To me, that's a useful player, and this time around the contract is right. 

I don't think they'll hold onto him whether he plays well or not. At some point, a star guard will have to be added via use of Gafford, PJW, Lively, AD...whomever they deem expendable. Kyrie at his number in years 33-36 is the part that worries me, frankly.
