I'll say it now and you guys being negative please remember -- when we get to training camp in Oct, we are likely to hear Kyrie is on the floor getting shots in. (Not in scrimmages, but very mobile and active and involved.) I had similar surgery 50 years ago (maybe worse knee injury than KI, and no doubt much worse methods then to cut on it, and better ways for recovery now), and I was playing casual games in a few months - probably unwisely, but no issue and it felt good. In 8 months I was full speed again, playing league games at 100%. Mavs won't let him take chances like I did, because too much at stake, but his timeline almost certainly should be by January or even before, giving them a half season with him (and well before the trade deadline, if that might matter).
They said the surgery was ACL only. No MCL, no meniscus.
So the odds of a quicker recovery are better.
