PJ as a super 6th man isn't the end of the world to me. Especially since we can expect AD to miss at least some time throughout the season. PJ will still probably start around 20-30 games.
My only concern is that not starting will impact his willingness to extend here. Its interesting how starting is considered such an important thing when I would argue finishing is more important. If we are trying to win games, my guess is that will be something similar to what Smitty suggested (AD/PJ/Flagg/Max/Dlo). In a year if you replace Max/Dlo with Kyrie and somebody like Derrick White that is a legit contender.
