I think the circumstances affected the Luka deal as much as or even more than Harrison's negotiating skills.
I think he rightly believed the news getting out would've resulted in premature pandemonium, and would've led to Dumont realizing that the safest course available to him was to stop the trade, due to public outcry and Duffy raising hell. Since Harrison A) wanted Luka gone and B) wanted Anthony Davis in exchange, I think he took a little less (though not as much less as we might've initially felt, if Shams was right last week about Davis' value on the open market right now) just to get the thing done before anyone knew what was going on.
It MIGHT mean he's a terrible negotiator, and there's other things to point to that could support that claim, but I also think it's too early to assume all the "good stuff" was Lindsey and all the "bad stuff" was Harison.
In other words, apples and oranges with this Holiday deal. But yeah, I think Cronin is delusional, and that's not even from an angle of what the deal was, it's more about WHY THE HELL DOES PORTLAND EVEN WANT JRUE HOLIDAY?! Are he and Jerami Grant supposed to get them into the playoffs?? In the West?????
