I get it, I just don't agree. I think he's awesome. He's one of the reasons BOS spanked Dallas in the finals last season. He had a worse year this season, sure, and I don't love the extension, but imho, people are way too fast to proclaim things like "fell off a cliff," "cooked," "done," etc. 

I have more confidence that Holiday has juice left to squeeze than I do about Kyrie Irving coming off of that injury, honestly.

I've been a big fan of Jrue's game, but I'd be hesitant at this point.  He took a step back last season, pretty much across the board.  Admittedly I didn't watch enough Celtics' games to know if that a scheme issue or his personal performance.  Either way, you're committing $35 million a year on the hopes that it was just an aberration and he's going to come back strong at age 35.  If you're wrong, and he's really on his way to being a less effective player, then you've put yourself in a really bad position.
