Nobody has capspace anymore. If a team, does they usually aim higher than Sexton.
He got 18M/year for 24/4/4 with 47/37/80 last time. I am pretty sure he was a RFA and the negotiations dragged on forever.
I actually think, much like PJ Washington, he´s one of these good starters/6th man on a winning team just below the All-Star level that will be squeezed out of the market by the $30M+ two way players and superstars. I think he´ll be happy to see an 80/4 offer. Nobody will /can offer him that in free agency.
I like Simons better, but Sexton is probably the easier trade and extension. it´s easier to accept an 80/4 extension, when your last contract ended with 18M rather than 28M.
