Looking at the last few pages, it seems there is a consensus to trade a PF/C to get PG help.

SH made the point that there is too much salary tied up in our front court. Getting Flagg only makes it worse. I agree with the analysis, but I think AD is the reason so much cap is tied up in a couple of positions. He's making ~$54M next season and is under contract through 27/28 where he's making almost $63M. He's making more that DLive + Gaff will be making combined in their next extensions. BTW, I think his cap hold after the contract expires is in the mid $70m range.

Trading AD is going to be an issue (apart from Nico's CYA strategy) just due to the size of his contract. But it's only going to get harder to move him, without picks, as the numbers grow. I think he's a phenomenal talent, even given his availability issues, but I never worried about AD beating us, it was always LBJ. I've heard Nico's comments about "win now", but not lately, and the advent of Flagg changes everything.

It's a new day in MavsLand and the MBT needs to seize the opportunity while they can.
