That would probably fall into the too-good-to-be-true category, but Dan or FG would have to talk contracts for me to sound educated on the subject of the trade.

After watching McConnell last night, Indiana would be crazy to get rid of him, but they are reluctant taxpayers... so maybe.

The difference between a 15th player on a minimum and a 15th player who was the 23rd pick is about $1.0mm.  So, this saves Indy $5.2mm and costs Dallas the same.  FG has already dealt with the Indy side of this.  For the Mav's, it puts Dallas further into the second apron.  Even if Kyrie extended for a starting number of $38mm, we'd still be over by $1.6mm and would want to get under and have a cushion beyond that.  So, something else needs to happen (or Kyrie needs to agree to something lower than any number I've seen suggested anywhere). 

Personally, McDonnell isn't worth $10mm, but I like the concept of doing a player + pick deal where you are making an attempt at both timelines where you get an older guy and a younger guy.
