That is the main reason why we should keep PJ if Mavs have any serious interest in making the POs next season.
If they trade PJ and are relying on Davis to play 70+ games, they might as well tank for the opportunity to draft Peterson next year.

I think there is a significant chance that the wheels come off quickly (Christmas) anyways and that we‘ll see Dumont give in to the pressure and finally fire Harrison once the results continue to be what they were after the Kyrie-injury (which I expect). Without Kyrie AND Luka you are looking at a team with potentially the worst guard play in the entire league. After years of having Luka + Kyrie/Brunson as a stable elite presence at the ballhandling spot the floor of this team has decreased drastically.
The roster may be loaded at plenty of other positions but that barely matters if you constantly struggle to run basic plays.
