Using Gafford to acquire another cost controlled player on the Cooper Flagg timeline, while simultaneously moving in a direction that could potentially open up part or all of the MLE this summer?

I'm torn between something like this or using him in a trade for a difference maker at PG. I guess it depends on who the PG is, but trading for a (FRP) cost-controlled guy on Flagg's timeline, while balancing your salary structure, has its obvious benefits.
