You know I really thought I was going to be done with the Mavs. I watched around 50% of the games after the trade and wasn't really rooting for them. It was just habit. Even coming to a few message boards was habit. It was tough for me to break.

Lets just saying this week has been great. As much as I like watching basketball, I almost like thinking about potential directions of a team more. I got to the stage post Luka that I saw no way for them to become a contender. Every scenarios was coming up as a dead end. Then after these next two years it was 4 years when we did not control our pick. It was depressing. With no way out.

I have gone back 2-3 weeks listening to DLLS and locked on Mavs podcasts and it is depressing hearing them talk about the team. They were a 100% right.

I am on cloud nine. Sure, I would like to see Nico gone. I don't care now if they keep everyone or if they told us tomorrow Nico was gone and AD and Kyrie will not be coming back. I would be fine. That is not going to happen and it is probably the right move at this time. There are so many directions that could bear fruit. Sure, the west is going to be a blood bath, but the Mavs should at least have a chance to compete. Will they win? Who knows but at least there is hope.
