The most insane part of this trade is how you can even think you can trade Luka to a conference rival and still believe that you are going to make it past Luka to the Finals.
Luka is going to destroy Mavericks for the next 15 years as a Laker. His resume is all about winning and he transformed a losing franchise into a contender in such a short time, with two confrence finals and a Finals appearance. Mavs were close to 100 percent sure of winning at least one Finals with Luka and most likely several.
There are bad decisions from across the sports and life, and rarely once in a while there are the worse ones, the mentally retarded decisions. Often based on over thinking and trying to catch attention from others. When most people and experts didnt even believe the trade was true when the news came out, then you know something is wrong.
