When I think of what if I tend to wonder who the mavs would have added if Luka was still here and how we could have added someone like a Danny Wolf and kept Luka and had a scoring PF alongside Lively and Gafford and maybe even added more depth with one or two Ivisic twins because we would also have a 2nd round pick. When I follow what those guys do in the rookie season it will be with that possibility in mind. You could even consider that Kyrie gets hurt and use Luka KLay PJ with LLivey next to Wolf and imagine that potential. Kyrie heals up in a year and Klay gets older and is off the bench with Naji Brandon Exum and Gafford. Solid team there and if one of the Ivisic twins provides anything on top of that you pair him next to Gafford off the bench. I think the future with Kyrie and Luka here is a lot better even if Kyrie is hurt because we have Exum and Brandon on the bench top replace both as backups in case of injury. Our injury luck cant be as bad as it was this year again. I would have kept Grimes as well and spent all of Dumonts money.
