I 100% expect the Mavs to go after KD if Nico is still around. Maybe there is an outside chance that Nico gets canned if we are to believe Cubes that the new ownership now regrets the Luka trade.

I've said several times that the follow up Caleb Martin trade depressed me even more than the Luka move. 
Nothing about it made ANY sense to me even if everyone stayed healthy. 
Confirmed there was no vision here.

I think it was a combination of not being able to/not wanting to afford Grimes with a side benefit of "get them talking about something else".  Including a pick was atrocious.
