I think you may be right, and the Christie hate in this forum really disappoints me.

Christie is REALLY good. On both ends of the floor. And he's still very young with lots of room to grow.

The fact that he's not Luka, pffft since when is that the standard? Early thinking that "he looks like he might be an All Star one day" is an incredible level of play by a youngster. 

FWIW I so enjoy Team Ball wayyyyyyy better than an offense that is tied every possession to the whims and results of one player.

I have not seen any Christe hate.  In fact, its been the opposite.  Saying that Christie is not going to become Luka is not Christie hate, its Luka trade hate when looking at it from a long term perspective.  If anything the overwhelming response has been Christie love.  He is clearly a good player, but I am worried folks are getting a little carried away based on a small sample of games.  I have no idea how good he is going to be.  I liked Brunson and thought we should have extended him at the time, but I had absolutely no clue he was going to be nearly this good.  What I do love is that contract.  We are going to have 2+ seasons to find out just how good this kid is before we have to make a decision on him.
