Re: Daniel Gafford: A G3 MCL sprain is considered a complete tear. Surgery isn’t required, especially if meniscus involvement is minimal. Average time lost for non-surgical cases in the NBA is 26 games (60 days).
Included on this list is current Mavs assistant coach Jared Dudley who missed 34 games in the 2020-21 season.

That's not depressing, at all...
26 games from his injury puts Gaff back on court in early April, around the 5th I think. But it could be a week or so sooner given the ASB is included in that.
Powell is still out until after the ASB, but there is no update on his timing.
AD is out for at least another 3 weeks (ASB + 2) although some adductor rehab info predicts longer recoveries.
Lively is "to be evaluated" around Feb 23rd, but as of Feb 13th he was still in a boot.
Just a random thought, but are these big man injuries a result of having to defend in space with the current 5-out offenses? Quick lateral movements, lots of stops and starts, more directional changes all put a lot of stress on the lower body that could be increased by body length and that more traditional bigs didn't have to deal with "back in the day".
