You can get up to about a $12-$13 million returning player for this depending on what you do to fill the roster spot you just created.  Greg Anthony and Coby White both fit into this salary range.

Coby White does a lot for me, but I definitely wouldn't call him a two-way player, so I'm not sure he fits the exact criteria FGump laid out earlier. I'd certainly prefer him to Sexton, however. 

Maybe we should think in terms of adding Hardy, or Hardy instead of Powell? 

Alternatively, I wonder if they're about to throw gas on Hardy and just pray he's ready for a bigger role, rather than even target the type of player we all think they need? 

I feel lost at sea here. I don't even feel like I have the pulse of what they're trying to do.
