But, if this guy (or the next) shows something, and the Maxi and DLive injuries carry on past March, would a 2-way player be available for post-season play? Or would he need to be converted to a minimum to stay on the roster? If so, then what does that do to our salary cap situation?

2 Way players are ineligible for postseason play. In order to play in the playoffs, they’d have to be converted to a league standard contract and take up a roster spot. Both of which the Mavs can’t offer unless they waive a guy.
The Mavs did this trick last year with AJ Lawson, but that was because they had the roster spot to give after the flurry of trades they made at the TDL.
