If there’s a way to get out of Kleber‘s contract without giving up something of value I’d be on board. The extension looks bad right now and despite some good stretches here & there he has not been worth his salary. Age-wise he’s also up there and we have plenty of other guys who will need to be signed to new deals soon so it makes sense to open up his spot again.

I would not trade Grimes. They’ll have matching rights on him and with his bench role in mind it’s hard for him to really earn his way out of what the team can afford to pay him. I hope he stays here and expect him to win over Klay’s spot within a season or two.
