Oh Dwight Powell, he came from afar,
With a heart full of fire and a game like a star,
From Stanford he rose, to the Mavs he did fly,
To catch all the lobs that would light up the sky

Through the Achilles' fight, you stood up so tall,
With a spirit unbroken, you gave it your all.
In Dallas you play, with the Mavericks' pride,
With every screen set and every dunk you've tried

Oh Poor Dwight, with his face always hit,
Taking elbows and screens, but never does quit!
And on defense, well, he just can't quite stick,
But he'll run the floor fast- though he's never quite quick!
