No, and in fact, I'd bet what little money I have relative to Jimmy Butler that this is all happening because he already has an idea of what Miami is willing to offer him next and is unhappy with it. 

We always focus on value exchanging hands on these deals, but my belief is that about 50% of this big-name auction trade dance is about said big-name's agent determining which team is willing to pay the guy in the coming months. That's how the Mavs got BOTH Porzingis and Kyrie, for example.
