I probably lean to no trade, even with as good as Herb Jones is.
Ya for sure, I like that package a lot more, was simply guessing Gafford because I assumed that's what the Pels would be after.
My big concern would also be Klay accepting a different role on the team but I'd probably lean yes only because I assume we're going to balk at a Gafford extension this offseason and having Jones under control for 2 seasons after this at 13 mil seems pretty enticing.
Although today I was thinking that maybe they just go into the second apron by extending everyone this offseason (Luka/PJ/Gafford and Kyrie's new deal) knowing that they can always move Gafford in a one contract trade to either rework the roster or reduce salary. Right now the issue with a team like Phoenix is they're in the second apron with no real tradeable contracts that could bring something back on it's own. No one wants Nurkic and I don't think Allen on a 4 year deal is getting you anything and everyone else is either part of their big three or on deals too small to do anything with. If the Mavs went into the second apron with this roster, they would have a lot of players with value on deals that could be used to make a move with picks attached.
