Mavs aren't even doing that bad in terms of contesting. The Thunder are just hitting the shots.

That’s true, but they are also playing about three times as hard as the Mavericks are, which is frustrating. It’s like the Mavericks didn’t understand that this was going to be a title fight.

I think this is my own hangup, left over from the Dirk years, but I really get frustrated when the Mavs lay an egg on their rare national attention games.
