That was a bad Orlando team with their players available. Mavs took care of business though. Nice to have a pretty easy game. Tomorrow night a team that gave them fits last year comes to Dallas. It will see if Dallas does any better tomorrow.
I still didn't like how they started, but maybe I am being overly critical as they were up double digits after the first. Luka moved much better tonight. Klay not getting a ton of looks but he has made some nice passes this year. Once we find a rhythm that is going to be a nice added way to get easy looks. I really like the Marshall minutes. He is the one guy who plays off tune. I don't know if he is going to try to make a crazy shot or the smart play. You can have one player like that, and that is him. I loved how he is pushing the pace though. Nice to have him off the bench. In time though, he will need to hit some threes as the year goes on. I thought Lively was fantastic and Gafford also played well. In our 4 wins our centers were good. In the two losses, they were outplayed.
As far as mop up minutes, I thought Hardy was strangely out of it. Sloppy and didn't appear really into the game. Something to watch as it looks like he is going to need wait until injury/rest day/or when spark is needed until he sees real minutes now. Dwight Powell enters the game and the game turns into a rugby match. Never change Dwight.
I expect we get a good Pacers performance tomorrow. They haven't played in a few days and lost a tough game their last game. They have gotten off to a slow start and Rick always has his team up to play against his old team.
