Dirk was such a basketball nerd early on and he found a kindred soul in Nash. This gym rat mentality I think helped them both succeed.
It's natural, but not fair, to compare the arcs of Dirk and Luka, two of the greatest players to put on a Mav's uniform.
I think (hope?) Luka's determination builds as the season goes along, wins pile up and games become more meaningful. After 100+ games, I get wanting to just walk away to re-charge. Maybe it takes a little time to get back to normal.
What is abnormal though is that last summer was Luka's longest break in playing competitive basketball in years. Then the training camp injury delayed "getting the rust off" and developing team chemistry. So I guess patience is the word of the day here.
