I don't want to be insensitive, but it makes sense. The Marshall hire was a PR counter to the mountains of sleaze that came out about the toxicity of Cuban's first decade or so of ownership (some of which I saw first hand while working there, even in just an arena entertainment capacity, which is so far removed from the inner circle I might as well have been a concessions worker, but I still saw stuff). The new owners/governor don't have to worry about fixing that, because they're not Cuban.
