This does not appear to be the case, so I would assume the Mavs stay patient. See how Brandon Williams does in summer league. Can he be an emergency guard on a two way? Does AJ win a spot?
I am not sure where these players are in their careers, but I assume Lowry and Dinwiddie will have better options. Money may not be too higher but they still played rotations minutes for good teams last year. Maybe not that well though. I think DSJ could still be an option. He will probably have better options as well, but he may not be have a built in role as a guaranteed backup PG though. So maybe he sees an opportunity here...especially if there was an injury.
I think the Mavs are done. They’ll likely wait until after Summer League to waive Lawson and re-sign Markieff. Giving them the required 14 and apron cushion. If/when injuries happen, they’ll have some flexibility to address it during the season.
Edit: Some context on when the Mavs made the final moves last year:

Last summer, the Mavs signed Derrick Jones Jr. to a minimum contract on August 18th and re-signed Markieff Morris on September 16th.
May be a while before there is any resolution on the Mavs’ their final roster spot.
