If you’re paying a guy $8-10m, he needs to playing (and contributing) 15-20 minutes per game. And doing it at a significantly higher level than a minimum guy.

Right. Those who hope to see Gafford here more than one more year should be very interested in how Exum, Hardy and Grimes are handled.
Soon after, they have to worry about Lively.
There comes a point when being able to trade someone for a different player isn’t all that helpful. They will literally need some of these guys just to go away, at some point.
