So Mavs Twitter is saying that this is just a roster clearing move since I guess it's cheaper to waive Patton than Roby.
He is going to get waived.
So what I like about this is that it confirms the Mavs will be adding at least 2 players. Patton is one spot. I could see the Mavs doing 10 day contracts to get a body in until the TDL.
Lee for sure will be the other spot. Eventually we will add a big and wing hopefully of some quality. Mavs don't necessarily have to trade off anyone even Broekhoff who is injured and presumably a guy they'd like to keep.

Justin Patton is an interesting player. He's barely played any minutes in the NBA, much like Roby. Thankfully it's basically a 1 for 1 swap and OKC is giving us money.
