I think just the opposite. When you make the finals as a young team with limited assets it makes sense to work around the edges. grimes plus retaining DJJ would have already been improvement (I think Grimes is their best chance to improve starting lineup offense without big drop off on defense).
And this team has a long history of making big plays for past their prime stars and striking out.
