The article says that DJJ will not immediately continue negotiations with the Mavs. If true, does not sound like a done deal.

It probably has to do with agent compensation.  Jones Jr. reportedly changed agents and the new one can't officially be his agent until a certain date.

If I'm the old agent and there is any announcement of an agreement, I'm suing for that commission as it occurred on my watch as agent.  What one would need to know, besides when Klutch takes over, is when Aaron Turner's representation ends.  Was he fired?  Or, was this a change of agents that occurs on a date certain in the future.
