I haven’t seen a single report DJJ intends to sign the MLE with the Mavericks.

Is here a reason to wait until 5pm tomorrow to announce that?

Yeah maybe it's risky but I don't see any reason to automatically throw out a full MLE at him 
Hopefully that's closer to 10 mil the first year 
And his agent would be smart to try to get a little more
