Very good move, imho. Green, Grimes, Hardy and Exum are sort of redundant (not enough minutes for everyone), so it will be interesting to see if there will be more moves.

Agreed 100%.  I'm actually a little bummed.  The idea of salary dumping THJ to only sign DJJ as your offseason plan is at best a lateral move only if Hardy (or Grimes or Green) make a quantum leap next year.  If one of them doesn't, it's a step back for the team as a whole.  This thing still needs a true #3, reliable scoring option.  I continue to be impressed with Nico, so I'm hopeful he's got something else up his sleeve.
 
I appreciate THJ and wish him well.  I was at the MLK Day game where he and Kyrie went for 40 each.  That THJ would have made such a difference in the playoffs.  That is why, in the moment, the Mavs are worse off.
