In fact, I can't for the life of me think of any team that would actually want THJ other than a vet min type of thing.
Because at the end of the day that's how bad the Pistons are.
Some reasons why the Pistons would value and actually desire THJ:
- They've set the longest losing streak in North American sports history. He'd easily be their 2nd or 3rd best player on that team.
- He's expiring
- 35% on 3s on high volume
- they are bereft of shooting
- they have zero vets with playoff experience
- They are bereft of talent
- Cade Cunningham and THJ are actually friends and Cade has mentioned he views THJ as a mentor
The Pistons aren't even trying to win any time soon.
So yes, to us, a team actually trying to win it all, THJ has zero value and is a ballast. But to a team like the Pistons, he could be very coveted unironically.
